Hello everyone, I'm bro. Marvin and I am a franciscan brother and I'm just so happy to be here. I love being Catholic and learning about my faith. Although I'm currently studying theology, I wouldn't consider myself as a "cream of the crop" seminarian. I'm the seminarian that literally hangs by the grace of God and simply surrenders everything to HIM. I look to the lives of the simple and saintly franciscan friars who struggled with school as a source of inspiration.
I currently attend a theology school that is very academic and somewhat intimidating. What's makes it worse, is that it's full of liberal theologians. I knew what I was getting myself into but who would have thought that on an all saint's day mass I would be praying to Bobby and Johnny Kennedy to hear my prayers. HUH! Yes, you read that right bobby and Johnny Kennedy. When I heard this I thought to myself, "Did I just hear what I thought I heard." Then I thought, "For a liberal school with a faculty and student population who is sooo anti-war, we just prayed for the intercession from the president who started the vietnam war.
